The UBC Arts Co-op Program is open to all students in the B.A., B.F.A., and B. Mus. undergraduate degree programs, and to graduate students in the MLIS/MAS, and Joint degree programs. Through co-op, students alternate practical, paid work experience of 4 months in length in various fields of interest with their academic studies. Co-op graduates are well prepared, academically and professionally, for their future careers.

Co-op Coordinators work closely with employers locally, nationally, and internationally to develop challenging, career-related positions for co-op students. Last year, 37% of UBC Arts Co-op placements were in the non-profit sector, 41% in the public sector, and 22% were with private business.
